All about our hero ingredients-Bakuchi Oil -a naturally-derived retinol alternative

2. What is a purge? A purge occurs when there is an abrupt increase in the cell turnover rate and the dead cells and sebum accumulate within your pores forming comedones. and can lead to an inflammatory response which could lead to redness and some pain, especially if it's your first time using a retinol.
3. The good news is that this usually lasts between 2-4 weeks after starting topical treatment with bakuchiol. 
4. How to know when it’s not a purge? Because retinoids are known to cause irritation, some people confuse a purge with actual adverse reactions to retinoids. A purge will normally last up to a month after the beginning of topical treatment. If the purge-like symptoms last longer than this, then it most likely isn’t a purge, and you should discontinue use immediately.
